Accel doesn't make a custom fit set of plug wires for your car, so you will have to buy a universal set made by Accel that matches your boot style and wire length the closest. You should be able to find them at you local parts store or you can always get them from Jegs.com. Summit Racing.com has custom sets for your car made by NGK, Autolite, ACDelco and MSD.
ACCEL Ignition wires still offer the best spark plug wires for any street or racing applications.
I have a 91 dodge daytona 3.0 V6 SOHC FI and my buddy insists that if i put msd plug wires and accel performance spark plugs on it that it will increase the horsepower, so im just wondering if that is true. 2nd question i would like to put a K&N cold air intake in it but they dont make the kit for it and the guy i talked to at the local advanced auto parts said that it can't be done on that engine because the air intake runs through the ecu, so does anyone know if this can be done or not and if so how i would do it? Last part of the question, what else can be done to increase the horsepower on the car. I'm trying to get it ready for the spectator drag races this summer.
P.S. i know this isnt the car of choice for most people when it comes to racing but i've put a lot of time into this car both body and engine work, and i find it to be a lot of fun to drive while i finish my 78 trans am y88. Thank you for your time and have a good day/night.
no you won't get more horsepower, you will get a better spark and make better use of the horsepower you have.
As far as a cold air kit I would just buy a K&N air filter and put it in the stock air box, you will get the same results other than the sucking noise. If you want a little more horsepower you could put a header on it and a good flowing exhaust system.

Im helping a buddy tune up his car. I've never dealt with unassembled spark plug wires. Is dielectric grease required? It is in the directions for the Accel wires, but I'm not sure if its NEEDED or if it is optional. Please help!
Joe
Buddy having the dielectric grease is a good thing to have and it keeps the plug wires from sticking to the spark plugs.Dielectric grease is also used in all ignition modules because heat can destroy them.Don't ever say no to dielectric grease on most things for the car especially the ignition systems. GOOD LUCK TOP YOU

Is Royal Purple Synthetic Oil, K&N oil filter, K&N air filter,Denso Iridium spark plugs,Accel spark plug wires,Optima Battery, Prestone 5/100 Extended Life Antifreeze and Coolant,Coastal Unilube Manual Clutch Fluid,Valvoline Dot 3 Brake Fluid, and Valvoline Power Steering Fluid and Sealer, ok to use i my car.if it isn't ok.what should i use?
royal purple is a good choice i run 10 30 and love it i suggest 5 30 for colder areas acell wires suck go w\ msd antifreeze is pretty much the same just make sure the formula covers the substance your radiator is made from, anything Valvoline to me is trash avoid it! don't use sealers if you have a leak fix it right replace the part leaking to avoid further damage..
no that i have my 89 plymouth voyager(turbo) up and running,I was wondering what could i do to give that baby some HP.so far i only installed a performance coil.Im thinking of doing the accel spark plug wires next.would it help if i advanced the timing a little bit?
The best thing to do is buy a good performance PCM, for most applications a stage 2, then go with an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. Also a beneficial add on is to use a front mount inner cooler. This will allow you to run more advance w/o detonation. The number one problem with these 2.5 "high torque" engines is heat transfer due to turbo heating. The smaller mitsu turbo is great for quick spool, but runs out of boost at higher speed, which limits your max. boost potential. If you just add timing and boost levels, then you overheat the turbo, which in turn increases the intake charge temp. This is bad and will lead to engine failure. With a new performance computer you will be able to run more boost. There are a lot of tricks for the 2.2/2.5 turbo engines. they make larger injectors, bigger fuel pumps, BOV, you can build the transaxle either auto or manual with a limited slip diff. only your wallet will stop you. The Dissection: An Automotive Ignition Coil
As I mentioned in an earlier post , I keep at least one Variac around at all times as a prop, should a sci-fi / horror movie erupt without warning in my shop. The Variac, besides looking like an electronic torture device, is a specialized type of autotransformer. An automotive ignition coil, the part under your hood that generates the super high voltage needed to fire the spark in a spark plug, is another. I cut one in half with a bandsaw to see how it works.
An automotive ignition coil is, at its most basic, a transformer whose job it is to take voltage from the battery and massively step it up before sending it to the spark plug. It's an autotransformer; a type of a transformer in which there is only one winding, but with multiple taps for the primary and the secondary connections. When used as an automotive ignition coil, it's paired with a capacitor to create a tuned R-L-C (resistor - inductor - capacitor) circuit. Think of this as the electrical equivalent of a spring with a weight on the end. Imagine the electrical energy in the ignition system oscillating back and forth between the coil (the inductor) and the capacitor just as the energy in the spring system goes from being stored in the spring to being potential energy against gravity and then back to the spring.
