Car dealers do it in their workshop, there r many automobile shops that will do the interior work for ur car.

What car is good for converting to an electric car?
I'm interested in a car that is lightweight, has a manual transmission, and has room for batteries. I'm trying to convert a gas car to an electric car, and I need one that is light, has manual transmission, room for batteries, etc, etc. Has anyone done that and has advice/know a good car for it? I have a limited price range, and I need a relatively cheap car for it. Any suggestions? Thanks.

To convert a car to electric, you will find that you don't need many of the thing at the gas car did, for instance the gas tank, radiator, and motor.
the electric motor is much smaller the a gas one.
many people are building a battery pack to go where the gas tank was along with using the extra space in the engine compartment.

I heard it's good to have a car from a good car company that after time will still have parts for your old car. Does anyone know which car company is the best in this standard? I think local mechanics would know best. I plan on getting a car and stick with it for a long time.

any american car has parts for at least 10 yrs. and then if the car is popular the aftermarket builds parts for it, you can build a complete19 66 or 67 chevy chevelle from the ground up if you have the frame as the aftermarket makes all the parts you need.

I am a 19 year old and I am a bit picky on cars because car insurance is high for me. I just want someone that has some experenice with those cars. Suggestion for other cars are fine too, only sport cars or coupes.

I'm really surprised to see this question. The wrx is a terrific car. I used to own one for four years and single thing didn't go wrong with it. The insurance was fairly inexpensive on the vehicle as well. The 2002 and 2003 models are considered compact sedans by insurance. The 2004+ models are considered sport sedans, so they have slightly higher insurance.

If you're comparing their performance, I can't think of one thing that the Pontiac does better. It MIGHT get better gas mileage.

I have been with out my car for more than 2.5 months the repair shop keep doing a miss and miss, cause to call it a hit and miss would be lying. To this day the car is not running. Now to release my car it will cost me over $600 for repairs I didn't tell them to make on my car. Since I have a new car I really don't care if it sits there for a lifetime, but can they sale my car parts without having title to the car? And I am responsible for the repair cost that I didn't authorized them to do?

The business can put a chattel lean on your vehicle.
If you are in the US; pay for the repairs with a check. (make sure there are sufficient funds in the account) On the check, note,:"paid under protest." Then file a civil suit in the county/parish where the business is located.
That way you won't loose the vehicle and you can keep your credit in tact - and the Civil Court should be able to sort it out for you. Be sure to bring the cashed check, the original repair estimate, and any other evidence with you to court.
You should also file a complaint with the Department of Consumer Affairs, your state Attorney General, and the Better Business Bureau.
